Cruising the coast

We’re off for a nice summer vacation, heading to the Oregon Coast.

We fell in love with the place last September and knew our little family had to go back.

Ironically, we’ve gone to Vernon, British Columbia for summer holidays the last four years. It’s only about an hour away from Penticton, where Ironman Canada is held. It would have been ideal to go to Vernon again and get in some awesome training.

Instead, we decided we want a relaxing vacation near the ocean. We’re not taking our road bikes. We’ll run and mountain bike a bit, but we’re going to take it easy over the next 10 days and not worry about miles or minutes.

Hopefully our bodies will thank us and let us churn out some peak weeks when we return!

Have a great week, and good luck to anyone racing over the next couple weekends!
